After the kafala order is executed, you get custody of your baby and can finally take baby to live with you. You will continue staying in Morocco until you apply for and receive your baby’s UK settlement visa and can return home. You will need to go to Le Nid to sign some documents. You will be given your baby’s medical information and also a list of the baby’s feed times and volumes of feed and any medications.
Note: Some families are unable to stay in Morocco for this full duration. There is an option of the baby remaining at Le Nid after the kafala execution, for a cost of 100MAD per day, until you are able to bring baby home to the UK. This option supports families that have other school going children by further reducing your time spent out of the UK.
