Be available for regular visits from baby’s assigned social worker

Your baby will be assigned a social worker who will visit you and provide further advice and information on caring for your child. Your social worker will visit within one week of the notification that you have arrived and intend to adopt the baby, and will continue to visit every week until the first review. The local authority will then decide the frequency of the remaining visits. In our case our first review was a month after the weekly visits had started and then we met our social worker after approximately 6 week gaps, until the court order is filed.
