When a match is made, you will usually receive an email with the photo of your matched baby, his /her name and date of birth. There will be no other information given. You will be asked if you would like to meet your matched baby or decline on this occasion.
If you accept, a meeting date is agreed. This can be done just before Kafala** begins or you can choose to see your matched baby and then return to Morocco at a later date to begin the Kafala process.
** The guardianship process in Morocco is called Kafala. As Morocco, like most Muslim countries, don’t have adoption laws you will need to obtain Kafala in Morocco and return with your baby to the UK and to complete the adoption process.
